- 1975 - Developed by the PROMPT method Simpact Systems Ltd.
- 1979 -PROMPT accepted as an official UK government methodology for IT project management

- 1996 - 2008 - Revision of PRINCE2 ®, including translations into many languages
- 2009 - the last revision of the PRINCE2 ®, with additional publications in German, Flemish, French, written in Polish and other languages
- February 2009 -Czech version of the test PRINCE2 ® Foundation
- Present - The official project management methodology of public administration in Great Britain, France, Poland and other countries in many commercial sectors.
